12:00 – 13:00 : The feet are the foundation of the body. Proper foot structure and alignment is vital to both good posture generally and qigong in particular. Problems with back and knee pain are often due to issues with the feet. This term we’ll focus on the structure and alignment of the lower body and feet in particular, as well as footwork as it applies to qigong and taijiquan. We’ll also consolidate the Ji Ben Qi Gong exercises. Suitable for beginners and more experienced students.

Those who run a mile at the mention of energy. (That being said, I don’t particularly like some of the connotations of the word either and have a fairly broad definition that somewhat skeptical people might find acceptable.)

Acupressure for Childbirth
If you’re looking for a natural method of pain relief during childbirth, this class is for you. Your partner will learn acupressure points and techniques to relieve pain, keep you calm and speed things along if necessary. This not only helps you, but also gives your partner something useful to do and helps them feel more involved in the experience.
A recent Australian study found that acupressure, alongside other techniques like relaxation, breathing and visualisation, resulted in significantly reduced epidural use and reduced caesarean sections (link to the study here).
I can run this class privately or for groups. Please get in touch with me for more information.
